“Managing
Your Distress in the Aftermath of a Shooting.”
The University Counseling Center (UCC)
recognizes that individuals across campus may be impacted by the recent
events at Northern Illinois University (NIU) and other similar events across the country. Our hearts go out
to all those impacted by these horrific events. We would like to remind
students about our services and our dedication to supporting students when
crises occur.
If you or someone you know is in need of counseling support or services, please call. It’s okay to ask for help.
Individual appointments may be made in person at the UCC Room 341 Knight Hall. Walk-in appointments are available for students experiencing a crisis or other concerns that require immediate assistance. We may be reached by calling 766-2187. For after hours emergencies, call 766-8989.
Group debriefings and Crisis management services are also available through our office.
