The purpose of Health Promotion is to work in partnership with students to assist them in learning the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve optimal health and well-being.

Mission of Health Promotion:
  • Share health and knowledge and promote healthy attitudes and behaviors.
  • Provide skill building techniques that can help students reduce known health risk factors and empower them to make healthy decisions.
  • Promote positive health and wellness concepts throughout the University community.
  • Provide opportunities for University-wide collaborative programming.
  • Respect the diversity and needs of the University students.
  • Promote human dignity through our actions and programming efforts..

GOALS

The goal of Health Promotion is to build and support a healthy community at the University of Wyoming.  We accomplish this goal through direct services, collaboration, public relations, academic courses, patient education, outreach, data collection, social marketing, and special events.
